Yes. The desktop client, the Unreal Engine plugin and the uversion CLI come free with your server licence. You only pay for the server, and only from 6 users onward.

You pay 10 € excl. VAT per month per active (non-deactivated) user in your instance. The count is adjusted monthly based on real usage. No tiers, no annual commitment.

Examples: 6 active users → 60 € excl. VAT/month. 12 users → 120 € excl. VAT/month. 18 users → 180 € excl. VAT/month. The calculation is strictly linear (number of active users × 10 € excl. VAT).

Prices shown are excluding VAT. Applicable VAT is calculated and added at payment based on your country; EU businesses with a valid VAT number benefit from the reverse charge (no VAT added).

Mid-month changes are prorated automatically. Add a user on the 15th (15 days left out of 30): you pay 5 € for that month (10 € × 15/30), then 10 €/month afterward. Deactivate a user mid-month: a prorated credit for the remaining days appears on the next month's invoice.

The count is not adjusted automatically: a user stays active (and billed) until you explicitly deactivate them in the Admin panel. Remember to deactivate the accounts of members who leave the team.

Really none, on every plan. A fair use policy applies to prevent extreme abuse (several tens of TB, non-Unreal usage, etc.). In practice no studio is affected.

Yes. The server binary installs on Linux or Windows with PostgreSQL. You stay in control of your data. The licence is validated online via RSA signature, with no usage reporting beyond the user count.
